Searching Google in Farsi

I sometimes need to do searches in Farsi, but I don't know the keyboard bindings. I built out an iGoogle Gadget that is an on-screen Farsi keyboard (see the screen shot). It launched today. Click here to use it. A lot of credit to Googlers in India who built this out for several other Indic languages. I only extended it for Farsi.

I must say, the farsi keyboard is awesome!
I want to embed the keyboard on my forums, so that when user selects the language, the keyboard should pop-up.
I am using vBulletin on www.dentocafe.com

Let me know if i would have to hire a coder for this.

Thanks
AH

If you want to add this gadget to a web page you can configure its size here: http://gmodules.com/ig/creator?synd=open&url=http://www.google.com/ig/modules/farsi_keyboard.xml

and then get the code to drop into your web page.

You've done a great job to support your compatriots Reza!

Just one suggestion:
As you may already know, we've got two different kinds of 'Ya' and 'Kaf' in Persian keyboards, one of which is the Arabic version of that letter. They are:

ک - ك
ی - ي

Now, the problem is that if one searches for the Persian 'Kaf' or 'Ya', the texts consisting of the corresponding Arabic letters won't be listed in Google's search result and vice versa. Unfortunately, this may result in a lot of useful content to be ignored in search results for Persian users. What I think is that this problem could be resolved by two possible solutions the first of which seems more practical:

1- If someone searches for a word with Arabic 'Yah' or 'Kaf', the search engine should also look for words containing the Persian 'Yah' and 'Kaf'. (I'm not sure if this approach is already being used)

2. During crawling the web, and before indexing the Persian contents, replace the Arabic letters with their Persian equivalents, and when searching them, just search for Persian letters!
